Precise humidity control for storing cut flowers.

Stores that display cut flowers, either in refrigerated rooms or large coolers, can benefit greatly by humidifying the area to 90% or more. This also applies to walk-in coolers used for storing floral products.

      Minimizes water loss

Humidity levels at 90–95% will noticeably reduce the rate at which a cut flower loses moisture to the air.

      Reduces wilting and withering

High water content ensures flower freshness and delays the aging process.

      Extends Storage Life

As a result — the vase life is prolonged, suggesting greater flexibility for flower retailers.

Keep cut flowers fresh for longer.

Cut flowers are well known for their high water content. This puts proper relative humidity in storage areas on the same level of importance as temperature and pathogen control.

      Flexibility for Time in Storage

Extended vase life allows more flowers to be kept for longer periods without worrying about loss of quality or shortages of certain varieties.

      Increased Store’s Profits

Using humidification technology results in less waste and improved freshness leading to increased sales.

Customers are looking for the highest quality.

With fresh cut flowers being one of the most perishable products, quality is the primary factor in defining their commercial value.

      Superior equipment design.

Friendly wall mountable powder coated metal cabinets, LED diagnostics that minimize service issues, built-in pressure gauges to measure performance, color-coded tubing for easy repair.

Protection from ethylene and airborne pathogens.

Miatech’s Bio Turbo is an effective, affordable and low maintenance tool designed for the removal of ethylene and airborne pathogens from commercial flower storage areas.

      Removes Ethylene

Utilizes the power of ozone in a completely unique and safe way.

      Kills Bacteria & Viruses

Contains a specially designed cell disrupter that kills airborne pathogens.

      Prevents Mold & Fungi

Cleans air of mold spores, preventing it from spreading.

Cleaner air for your cut flowers.

Bio Turbo’s innovative patent protected design utilizes the sanitizing power of ozone to cleanse the air within storage facilities, while eliminating the challenges typically associated with the use of ozone.

      Flexibility for Time in Storage

Extended vase life allows more flowers to be kept for longer periods without worrying about loss of quality or running out of certain kinds.

      Increased Store’s Profits

Using technology results in throwing less flowers away, which means less waste. Furthermore, improved freshness typically leads to increased sales.

Provide highest quality flowers with Bio Turbo technology.

Freshness is one of the most important factors determining salability of fresh cut flowers. The equation is fairly simple: less freshness equals lower profits.
      This is how it works.
      STAGE 1: AIR FILTER
The air filter removes dust and visual particles from the air.

      STAGE 2: CELL DISRUPTER
An anti-microbial chemical is applied to the surface of a specially designed disrupter. It works by rupturing the outer membrane of the cells that make up these airborne pathogens. With efficiency rates of 99.5%+, this process stops their normal life development, thus destroying the cells.

      STAGE 3: OZONE CHAMBER
This chamber uses the positive effects of ozone to eliminate ethylene gas. The ozone is safely contained within this chamber and not dispersed throughout the storage area.

      STAGE 4: BIO CLEAN MODULE
In this final stage, a catalyst is used to change the ozone into clean oxygen. The catalyst creates a reaction that breaks down the ozone molecule. From here the clean oxygen is released back into the environment.
